Looking for a Linux System Admin for managing large scale infrastructure, distributed around the world, across several clouds and proprietary data centers, processing millions of events daily and deploying big data technologies such as Hadoop and other newest open source solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provision development, testing and production environment in a cloud environment
Deploy and maintain big data infrastructure such as Hadoop, Kafka, Storm and Big Data DB clusters
Implement system management and monitoring processes
Optimize cloud resources
Plan and implement fail over and disaster recovery procedures
Manage backup and recovery procedures
Negotiate and supervise implementation of new technologies

At least 4 years experience as an infrastructure engineer responsible for big scale hosting facilities
Deep knowledge of Linux OS
Experience with managing large scale Hadoop, HBase and NoSql DB such as CouchDB
Proficient with system scripting (Python, Perl, Bash,Ruby)
Works well in a dynamic environment
Service oriented approach
Understands the principals of server scaling
Has the ability to learn new technologies and skills independently
Familiarity with Dev-Ops tools such as Chef or Puppet
Academic degree and RHCE / MCSE or equivalent certifications - A PLUS
Good communication and documentation skills in English
