Role and Responsibilities:
Advance our understanding of the dynamics of human brain functions, in real-world settings.
Become a pioneer in applying deep learning techniques to decoding neural activity.
Work closely with computational neuroscientists on experimental design, data collection methodology, and problem definitions, employing our proprietary data collection platform.
Leverage cutting-edge DL techniques to extract novel insights from rich, labeled, neural data at scale.
Perform DL research to optimize architectures, training schemes, learning algorithms, etc.
Contribute to the design of some of the world’s first neurotechnology products.
Work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements:
Love collaborating with others and working in a team.
MSc/PhD in a quantitative field, such as computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or computational neuroscience.
5+ years of hands-on experience working on deep learning applications in computer vision or NLP.
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and self-supervised techniques, generative and discriminative modeling, optimization algorithms.
Extensive knowledge and experience with the design and implementation of DL architectures (CNNs, Transformers, TCNs, RNNs, and their relatives).
Be up-to-date with the current deep learning literature, and able to independently implement algorithms from academic articles.
Fluent in Python; expert in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
Organized and clean code writing practices; understand the importance of well-written code.
Clear communication skills, especially with people from other disciplines.
Proven record of taking ownership and getting things done.
