We are seeking a talented Release Project Manager to join our Delivery Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end release lifecycle, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing the release of our platform.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and exceed expectations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: R&D, QA, DevOps, Operations, Product Management, and CSM.
- Manage risks and resolve issues affecting the release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Continuously improve the release process.
- Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and ensure defects are resolved before release.
- Maintain proper version control and configuration management practices.
- Coordinate deployment activities, minimizing disruption to operations.
- Communicate release status, plans, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Track and report release progress and delivery metrics using Jira reports and dashboards.
- Maintain a comprehensive release repository, including procedures, policies, release notes, and notification lists.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related technical field - Must.
- 2+ years of experience as a Release Engineer or in a similar role - Must.
- Strong knowledge of task management systems and build tools, including Jira - Must.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to streamline and optimize processes.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) - Advantage.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Advantage.
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++) - Advantage.
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality releases.
